This automation tip refers specifically to Documents, SDS documents, Learning Records and similar; essentially sections of Donesafe where a record can have a "Due Date" or an "Expiry Date" . It does not refer to actions.

As an example, let's say that you would like to be notified a week before an SDS record expires. This new automation trigger rule allows you to do this.

Let's take a look at how to do this:

  1. Go to Settings > Automations

  2. Click [+Add] and select from the list to what section of Donesafe you'd like to. For the above example, I'll select "Safety Data Sheet Register".

  3. Apply the following rule set.

"Days Before Expiry" > "Less or Equal" > 7

This rule will now fire 7 days before an SDS record expires. Easy!

Have we missed a section where you'd like a notification before something expires? Let us know using the chat icon.
